Screen Color Test

A screen color test fills your entire display with pure, solid colors one at a time. Against a clean, full-screen color, problems that are invisible during normal use become obvious — dead or stuck pixels, discoloration, color tint, dirty-screen effect and panel non-uniformity.

Cycle through red, green, blue, white, black and other solid colors below. Inspect the screen closely for any dot, patch or area that looks wrong. It works on any monitor, laptop, phone, tablet or TV browser — no download needed.

Start Color Test

A screen color test displays pure, full-screen solid colors so you can inspect your display under uniform conditions. It helps reveal dead pixels (always black), stuck pixels (stuck on one color), discoloration, tint and brightness non-uniformity that are hard to notice on a normal desktop.

Red, green and blue reveal stuck sub-pixels and tint problems. White exposes dead pixels, dust and yellowing or uneven brightness. Black reveals backlight bleed and always-on (stuck) pixels. Cyan, magenta and yellow help confirm sub-pixel behavior. Going through all of them gives the most complete picture.

Yes. The test runs in any modern browser, so it works on phones, tablets, laptops, monitors and smart-TV browsers. For the most accurate view, set brightness to a comfortable level, clean the screen, and view it in a dimly lit room.

A dot that stays black on every color is likely a dead pixel; a dot stuck on one color is a stuck pixel. Stuck pixels can sometimes be revived with our Pixel Fixer. For permanent dead pixels, check your warranty — many manufacturers replace panels above a certain defect count.
