About PixelTest.net
PixelTest.net is a free suite of online tools for checking the health of any screen — monitors, laptops, phones, tablets and TVs — directly in your browser, with no software to install.
What you can test
- Dead Pixel Test — find dead and stuck pixels with full-screen solid colors.
- Pixel Fixer — try to revive a stuck sub-pixel by rapidly cycling colors.
- Backlight Bleed Test — spot light leakage on LCD panels.
- Ghosting Test — check response time and motion blur.
- Color Gradient Test — reveal color banding.
- Contrast Test — see how many near-black and near-white shades your display resolves.
- Sharpness Test — check pixel clarity and text rendering.
- Resolution Test — read your resolution, pixel ratio, color depth and refresh rate.
Why screen testing matters
A single faulty pixel or panel defect is much easier to deal with when you catch it early — for example within a store's return window or a manufacturer's warranty period. Whether you've just bought a new device, are inspecting a second-hand one, or are troubleshooting an existing display, a quick test gives you a clear, objective answer.
How it works
Every tool runs entirely in your web browser. There is nothing to download or install, the tests work on any modern device, and they are completely free to use. We keep the interface deliberately simple so you can go from question to answer in seconds.
Built for everyone, in your language
PixelTest.net is available in 19 languages so that users around the world can test their screens with instructions they understand.
Who we are
