This mouse test checks that every part of your mouse works. Click inside the test area to light up the left, right, middle and side buttons, spin the scroll wheel to check both directions, and double-click to test for unwanted "chatter". A live clicks-per-second (CPS) counter and cursor position are shown too.

Use it to detect a dead button, a worn switch that double-clicks on its own, an unresponsive scroll wheel, or to measure your click speed. It works with any mouse, trackpad or trackball.

Move your cursor into the test area and use your mouse. Each button press, scroll direction and double-click lights up the matching indicator, and the counters track your clicks-per-second and total clicks. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is recorded.

Right-click normally opens a context menu, so the test suppresses it inside the test area to read the button. Side (back/forward) buttons only report if your mouse and driver expose them as standard buttons; some gaming mice map them to macros instead. Try the buttons inside the grey test area for the most reliable result.

A worn mouse switch can register two clicks when you intended only one — this is called chatter or double-clicking. If the double-click indicator lights up when you single-click, or your total click count jumps by two, the switch may be failing and the mouse likely needs repair or replacement.

CPS stands for clicks per second — how many times you can click in one second. It is popular for gaming and click-speed challenges. Click as fast as you can in the test area and watch the CPS counter; it reflects your fastest recent click rate.
